In the sorrow following this unimaginable loss, Becky’s parents channeled their grief into action. In 2006, they founded the Becky Werner Meningitis Foundation to honor Becky’s memory and to help prevent other families from experiencing the same heartbreak. Through education, advocacy, the funding of critical meningitis research, and providing support to families affected by this devastating disease, the foundation has played a pivotal role in the fight against meningitis, saving lives and making a lasting difference.
