Join the 2018 roster and
Join minor league teams from around the country who are playing a major role in improving the health of children.
The 2018 annual campaign, Step up to the Mound and Strike Out Disease, will take place throughout the month of August and coincide with National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM).
Through a friendly competition, teams will even the playing field for children and families in need of life-saving vaccines. We believe that all children deserve a chance at bat. Unfortunately, many children never get that chance. Each year, 1.5 million children die before reaching their fifth birthday from vaccine-preventable diseases.
Participation is simple.
For each strikeout, the pitching team will donate $50-$100, depending on the league designation- AA or AAA (equal to roughly 150-300 vaccines). 100% of these donations will go to the purchase and delivery of vaccines and related supplies and services to children and families living in Latin America and the Caribbean. Our goal is to provide one million vaccines through this campaign. The gift of vaccines is one of the greatest investments we can make in the health of a community with an enduring impact.
Our marketing team will provide promotional materials and ideas that can be shared with fans to let them know that you are part of a bigger team committed to striking out disease. Team stats and contributions will be posted on our website and social media.
